The Education Ecosystem in India is rapidly changing to embrace the importance of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. Various government bodies such as the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC), University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and other councils such as BCI, PCI, DCI, MCI are aligning their policies to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the present education ecosystem of India.
The Ministry of Education has taken various steps to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in India. It has launched various schemes like the Atal Innovation Mission, which aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students. Under this initiative, the government has established Atal Tinkering Labs in schools across the country to provide a platform for students to experiment, learn, and innovate. Apart from the Ministry of Education, UGC, and AICTE, other councils like the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) are also playing a significant role in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in India. The NSDC has launched various skill development programs, which focus on promoting entrepreneurship and startup culture among youth. The NSTEDB has been promoting entrepreneurship and innovation through various schemes like the Entrepreneurship Development Program, which provides training and support to potential entrepreneurs.
